A magnitude 6.0 quake hit near Indonesia’s Talaud islands
Indonesia geophysics agency BKMG informed via Twitter about the earthquake of 6.0 hit near Indonesia’s Talaud islands.
The earthquake was at a depth of 11 km (6.8 miles). The quake has no potential to trigger a tsunami, it said.

According to the officials, AFP previously reported, At least 53 people have been killed in the earthquake. However, the death tolls are rising as people are being pulled out from the collapsed buildings and homes. According to the latest update on the death and injury numbers of the tremor hit, over 600 people are reported dead by the officials.
