After Will smith’s “slap” scandal, the Oscars bring in ‘crisis team’ to handle such issues, if occur
The previous year at the Oscars 2022 Will smith’s “Slap” scandal occurred. Actor Will Smith slaps Chris rock in front of the ceremony and attendees. He slapped Chris rock after Chris made some quirky statements about his wife Jada Smith while hosting the ceremony.
Now, for this year’s Oscars 2023, a full-formed crisis team will be introduced to handle such situations, if occur.
In a new interview, Bill Kramer, the CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, addressed recent concerns about this year’s ceremony, which will take place next month.
In a new interview, Bill Kramer stated that a ‘crisis team’ is in place this year at the Oscar event. He stated, “We have never had a full crisis team before, and we have lots of backup plans in place. So we are hoping to be ready for anything that we do not expect to happen right now but are planning for just in case it does”.
“Because of last year, we have become more open to the possibility of anything happening at the Oscars”- Bill Kramer said while responding to the last year’s scandal.
