“Tweet like it’s 1995 and you watched DDLG for the first time”; Netflix India asks Netizens
Dilwale Dulhaniya le jayenge aka DDLG is indeed one of the biggest blockbuster movies of Indian cinema. The movie stars Shahrukh Khan as the lead actor and Kajol as the lead actress. The plot of the movie is pretty simple as it is a love story of a foreign return Raj Malhotra and a simple girl from Punjab Simran. They meet in Europe while travelling and fell in love. But Simran’s family was not in favour of this love and her marriage was already fixed by her father. Eventually struggling throughout the whole movie, the two lovebirds managed to prove their eternal love to their families.
Indian cinema is solely famous for love stories and yes DDLG was one of the best ever. In India and worldwide the film was immensely loved and gathered appreciation. Till now, the remembrance of the film is fresh and people still watch it. The movie is directed by Aditya Chopra, it was his first-ever film as a director.
Recently, an online show and movie platform, Netflix India posted a tweet asking netizens to tweet like it’s 1995 and they watched DDLG for the first time. Following the tweet, it got tons of funny and interesting responses from the users.
“Whatta movie, next SRK should do a love triangle with Rani and Kajol. He has the potential to be the romantic icon of this generation,” a user tweeted referencing the film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ that came out in 1998. “Just watched Ddlj…. I am shocked to know that Raj is actually Gauri’s husband,” joked another.
Another user posted, “just watched DDLJ, and now changing my tinder bio to “hopelessly romantic….”
“Wonder what movie theater this will be playing in 2023,” commented another. Another netizen wrote, “Just watched DDLJ for the first time, for 3 and half hours I was like in cool calm and loving environment.
