Woman hit and dragged by the car wasn’t alone on the scooty, says Delhi police

The death of a 20-year-old woman who was hit and dragged for 7 km has led to the recent uproar among the people of Delhi. Delhi police in his matter made a major and shocking revelation. At the time of the accident, the deceased was on her scooty and according to Delhi police, the 20-year-old wasn’t alone. There was a girl with her on the scooty and allegedly she suffered some injuries and fled from the spot.

“When we traced the route of the deceased, it was found that she wasn’t alone on her scooty. A girl was with her at the time of the accident. She suffered injuries & fled from the spot but the deceased’s legs got stuck in the car, after which she was dragged”, the police said.

Delhi Police Special CP Shalini Singh visited Janauti village in the wee hours of Tuesday as part of her investigations into the death of a 20-year-old woman who was dragged by the car for a few kilometers, ANI reported.

The Delhi Police said the Kanjhawala Police Station received a call at around 3.20 pm about a body being dragged by a grey Maruti Baleno car heading to Qutubgarh. While the investigation was on, another caller informed about the body lying on the Kanjhawala main road at 4.11 am. The police team rushed to the spot where they found the body lying on the road. All the accused five people have been arrested and have been booked for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, causing death due to negligence and rash driving. They were presented before the court. The court sent them to three-day custody.
